When & how did you come to work at Maple City AH?
In January 2023. I saw an ad online.
Why did you become a veterinary professional?
I always had a love for seeing sick and injured animals and being a part of their recovery.
Tell a story about one specific animal or event related to animals that inspired you.
I have my own exotic rescue and we received a very ill and malnourished. Despite everyone saying it was not worth the effort and to let it go, I couldn't. Weeks went on, and it slowly get better because I didn't give up. Today, the lizard is 3 years old and is living happily.
How did you become a veterinary professional?
This is my first veterinary career. Through experiences with old jobs and my rescue, I knew this is where I wanted to be.
What do you enjoy most about your job & why?
I really enjoy my job and the encounters with the patients. I enjoy seeing people's reactions when they find out their pet will be okay.
What are your personal origins?
I grew up here in La Porte with my parents and four brothers. I was a multi-sport athlete and in two honor societies throughout high school. I graduated in 2022.
Who is your family now?
My parents, my four siblings, and our pets which include: three dogs, three cats, a ferret, four lizards, a spider, two Prairie Dogs, lots of chickens and ducks, two guinea pigs, two hamsters, and two sugar gliders.
What are your personal interests & achievements?
I am interested in sports and snuggling with pets. My achievements include graduating top 20 in my class, being a member of 2 honor societies, and making state for swimming.
